Zimbabwean-born humanitarian, mental health advocate and global community leader Dr Suku Moyo Mackenzie has added yet another prestigious accolade to her growing list of international recognitions after being named an Honorary Award Recipient for Services to Philanthropy and Humanitarian Services at the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) 2026 UK Edition on the 16th of May 2026.

The latest recognition places Dr. Mackenzie among Zimbabwe’s most celebrated diaspora change-makers whose work continues to leave a lasting impact across communities in the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and beyond.

The award acknowledges her tireless humanitarian efforts through her foundation, Let’s Talk About It, a platform she established to support survivors of abuse, advocate for mental health awareness and empower vulnerable communities through healing-centered dialogue and practical interventions. According to her ZAA profile, her initiatives include working with schools, youth centres and policymakers to tackle issues such as substance abuse, child exploitation and emotional wellness.
This latest honour adds to an already impressive collection of international awards and recognitions.
Among them is the Global Leadership Legacy Award (2026) presented by CADAV Africa for her outstanding leadership through humanitarian impact, where she famously said:
“A legacy is not written in stone, but in the lives we change and the voices we empower.”
She is also the recipient of the World Super Hero Award, recognising her outstanding community service and commitment to “Reaching Greater Heights,” as well as the Mental Health Advocate and Brand Ambassador Award (2022) from the MRFA Foundation at the International Social Catalyst Awards and Recognition.

In recognition of her resilience and survivor advocacy work, Dr Mackenzie has also received the Beautiful Survivors Award (SHAKTI) from Ladies of All Nations International during a UK Parliament-hosted ceremony, as well as the Global Vanquisher Role Model Award, celebrating her as a symbol of courage and empowerment.

Her academic and humanitarian contributions were further honoured through an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism (2022) conferred by the Global International Alliance USA.

In addition to these wins, Dr Mackenzie has received numerous other awards, honours, recognitions and nominations internationally, including her 2026 nomination for the National Diversity Awards Positive Role Model Award for Gender, sponsored by HSBC UK.

Throughout her journey, Dr Mackenzie has remained consistent in her message of breaking silence around mental health and transforming pain into purpose.
At a previous international recognition ceremony, she urged society to:

“Break the silence, normalize vulnerability, and treat mental health support as a fundamental right, not a privilege.”
Reflecting on survival and healing, she has also shared:

“Our scars are not signs of weakness, but symbols of the profound strength and resilience we found in the struggle.”

For many, Dr Suku Moyo Mackenzie is more than an award-winning humanitarian. She represents resilience, service and the power of turning personal pain into global impact.
With each honour she receives, her legacy continues to grow not merely through trophies and titles, but through the lives she changes across the world.
