DISTINGUISHED academic, writer and motivational speaker, Dr Charlton Tsodzo, is no doubt one of Zimbabwe’s uncrowned kings of humour.
After Paradzai Mesi’s break-in case, which grabbed headlines two weeks ago, and the trending Lionel Messi’ disciplinary issues at PSG, Dr Tsodzo, easily found the funny side of it, albeit satirically.
In one of his Facebook posts, Dr Tsodzo wrote: “Mmm the Messi family has been misbehaving . . . 2 weeks back it was akoma Paradzai akasungirwa kudhanya . . . now younger brother Leo.
“After playing crap this past weekend (he) decided to give himself a holiday and (flew) off to Saudi Arabia without official leave of absence from PSG.
“Now he has been suspended without pay for 2 weeks.
“Vanhu vepi nhai one family kuita misarinyasi kudai?”
To some, the post might not ring a bell, but Dr Tsodzo should be credited for his eye to deal with serious matters using humour.
As they say, humour is the best therapy in life.
Musician and social commentator, Kuchineyi Chatsama, saw the funny side of his post and shared her sentiments.
“Life isina musikanzwa inobhohwa.
“You need some adrenaline rush pano neapo,” she wrote.
Dr Tsodzo’s followers felt that Messi could be lining up a move to the Saudi Arabia League where Cristiano Ronaldo is plying his trade.
“Saudi Arabian league loading,” he said.
One of Dr Tsodzo’s followers, Dorothy Madzvova, joked that Cristiano was behind Mesi and Messi’s challenges.
“Kuti Ronaldo haana kuromba? Makwenzi ake ndiwo aakuvhiringa mhuri yaana Messi,” joked Madzova.
