There was drama in the central business district of Mutare Thursday afternoon when a delivery van belonging to Bakers Inn bakery crashed into a two-storey building after the driver lost control of the vehicle claiming a snake had appeared on the dashboard.

Although the driver was nowhere to be seen when the Manica Post crew arrived at the scene moments after the accident, witnesses said the shocked driver revealed that a snake suddenly appeared on the dashboard as he was approaching the intersection at Sanhanga building.

People gather around the delivery van whose driver jumped off whilst it was in motion claiming a snake had come face-to-face with him on the dashboard. The vehicle crashed into a commercial building in the CBD.
