DRUGS destroy and ruin millions of lives.
People take drugs for various reasons.
Why do people take drugs?
Most teenagers take drugs because they would want:
◆ to fit in
◆ to escape or to relax
◆ to relieve boredom
◆ to seem grown up
◆ to rebel
◆ to experiment
Most teenagers think that drugs are a solution to their problems but they don’t realise that they are also their problems.
Effects of drugs
Drugs affect the mind.
They blur memory and cause blank spots.
Drugs also destroy creativity, one can be told lies that drugs will make him or her more creative but the opposite is true.
Drugs can lift a person into a fake cheerfulness, but when they wear off, one crashes even lower than before.
The emotional plunge will be very depressing.
Drug use also causes kidney damage and failure, liver damage, seizures, tremors and extreme tiredness.
It also causes forgetfulness, confusion, paralysis, severe anxiety, depression, breakdown of skeletal muscles and even death.
In order to prevent this, we need to abstain from drug abuse.
