ED FIRES UP ZIM: “Innovate or stagnate!”

IN a fiery Independence Day rally that turned Gokwe into a sea of green, gold, and red, President Emmerson Mnangagwa charged the nation to embrace innovation or risk being left behind — declaring Zimbabwe’s future lies in science, skills, and self-reliance.

Addressing thousands at Mutora Open Grounds, the President said the Zanu PF Government is determined to honour the sacrifices of the liberation struggle by pushing Zimbabwe towards a new era of prosperity.
“After 45 years of Independence, the Zanu PF Government remains committed to building a future that honours the sacrifices of the past, but fundamentally secures prosperity for the generations ahead,” he declared to thunderous applause.

With the economy in focus, ED laid down the roadmap:
“To guarantee that Zimbabwean products are competitive in both local and global markets, technical and vocational education, with biases in Science, Technology and Innovation, are of critical importance.”

The President’s message struck a chord with the crowd, many of whom see skills development as the missing link between youth potential and national growth.

As drumbeats echoed through the grounds and the spirit of Uhuru gripped the nation, one thing was clear — Zimbabwe is being called to rise, rebuild and reimagine its place on the global stage.

ED has spoken. The future is now. Will Zimbabwe answer the call?
