POPULAR TikToker Lonlisha Mufari is a woman in real pain.
Lonlisha has revealed that she feels guilty of causing the accident in which her husband, businessman Kudzai Keita, and his mother, were both killed in Harare in October last year.
She was the one driving the car at the time of the accident.
The fatal crash occurred along the Mutare Road at Rhodesville Police Station.
On Sunday, she went on TikTok, which is her favourite platform, and as she was sobbing, revealed how she has been struggling to cope after the accident.
She revealed, for the first time since that tragic accident, that she has this guilty conscience and it was destroying her soul.
She can’t understand, four months after the accident, how fate ensured that she was the only one who walked out of that accident alive.
Lonlisha said she now understands why some people resort to taking drugs to try and find an escape route from the mental torture which would be devouring their soul.
She said she is struggling to find a way how she can move on with her life without her husband.
Lonlisha said she has also been struggling to take care of her bills, without the support of her late husband.
For a month, she revealed, she could not drive a car as images of that tragic accident kept returning to haunt her everytime she tried to get behind a wheel.
That is quite normal when someone survives such a tragedy.
It’s not an easy thing to deal with a huge loss and we feel for Lonlisha and understand the turmoil in her body and soul.
They were a couple who clearly loved each other and they shared their romance with the world by using their social media platforms to tell the story of their love affair.
There have been reports that Kudzai did not lead a clean life and could have been into crime and this was what was funding their luxurious lifestyle.
Reports have also circulated that his burial at his rural home attracted some characters from South Africa’s underworld.
However, whatever Kudzai did or did not do, what cannot be questioned is that he had a real love affair with his wife.
And, without him in her life, Lonlisha is clearly struggling to navigate the challenges of life.
She had become used to that jet-setting lifestyle and it’s not easy to adjust and live the lives which all of us ordinary folks are used to.
Lonlisha deserves support and we are happy that she is starting to get it.
Her brave decision to come out in the open and share her challenges with the world is an important first step in her recovery.
The worst thing anyone can do, in the event that they are facing such challenges, is to bottle everything and pretend that all is well.
One needs to share his or her challenges with the world because that is the only way they can get help.
Lonlisha has done the right thing.
