EMTHUNZINI Wethemba Children’s Home in Bulawayo benefited from the 2024 Bon Marché Annual Golf Day, held at the Royal Harare Golf Club last Friday.
The charity golf tournament aimed to raise funds for Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home. The event combined exciting golf with networking and philanthropy, bringing together stakeholders and supplier partners committed to making a positive community impact.
Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home, the charity focus, is a non-profit organisation providing shelter, education, and essential care to vulnerable, orphaned, or abandoned children. Established in 1992, the home has offered hope for over two decades.
Adopted as the Group’s Corporate Social Investment beneficiary for 2024, the home will benefit from fundraising activities, community engagement programmes, and resource allocation efforts to improve living conditions and educational opportunities.
The home creates a nurturing environment for children to thrive despite challenging backgrounds. Funds raised will cover running costs, including food, education, healthcare, and recreational activities.
Bon Marché representatives stated: “This act of kindness aligns with our core values and purpose: making happiness tangible by planting smiles on employees’, customers’, suppliers’, shareholders’, and communities’ faces. We support community-based health and wellness, education, and environmental preservation initiatives.”
This year’s Bon Marché Annual Golf Day received significant support from stakeholders and supplier partners, demonstrating collective commitment to corporate social investment.
“The partnerships enhance fundraising efforts and showcase community commitment,” concluded Bon Marché.
The golf day promoted sportsmanship while supporting a noble cause to improve Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home children’s lives.
