EVERY day gogo leaves her warm, comfortable house to sleep in the cold at the police station.
a?English-speaking snakes are making my life hell!a? said gogo Elizabeth Mthembu (63) from Evaton West in the Vaal.
a?There is no peace in this house. These snakes have been terrorising me for three years now. They speak to me in English and say they are going to kill me. They come every day after 8pm and they fight with me. I feel powerless,a? she said.
Gogo Elizabeth told Daily Sun that she spends her grant money on taxis to get to the police station.
a?I spend my nights at the police station. I only feel safe when I am there,a? Elizabeth said.
She said her kids have also left the house because of the snakes.
Neighbour Celia Zwane (59) said they know about gogoas problem. a?I even took her to my church for prayers. The snakes left for two days and then they came back again. If she spends a night here she doesnat sleep, we can hear her crying and running around. She is really suffering. Itas winter now and she is spending her nights at the cold police station.a? a Daily Sun
Gogo Elizabeth said the snakes follow her wherever she goes, but they donat go to the police station. She thinks they are scared of the cops. Captain Johannes Motsiri confirmed that the gogo sleeps at the cop shop and said it was not good for her health. He said Elizabeth needs help.
