IF you are looking for a laid back, quiet and serene drinking spot but still want to remain in the vicinity of the Bulawayo Central Business District, then look no further than Greyas Inn Pub.
A prominent feature in the cityas entertainment circles for decades, Greyas Inn Pub caters for mature professionals who want to enjoy drinks in a relaxed environment that also offers an outdoor drinking experience in the form of the Greyas Inn Garden.
Manager Enock Nherera explained that their clientele base were mature patrons that want to enjoy drinks without loud music blaring in the background.
a?Because first and foremost we are a hotel accredited by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) we have to stick to their regulations thus we cannot play loud music or host live bands. Once a week we bring a DJ who plays old school music but at minimal volume so as not to disturb guests booked in our rooms. Our patrons are still able to enjoy good music in a serene and relaxed environment,a? said Nherera.
Greyas Inn, just like other establishments that close doors at 10pm, is a feeder to local nightclubs when revellers move to other night spots to continue drinking into the wee hours of the morning.
The establishment has three separate bars to cater for the different needs of their patrons.
One bar caters for non-smoking patrons while the other is for clients who enjoy cigarettes while imbibing.
The third is a members only bar which accommodates about 20 members when full. In order to be accepted as a member one should go through a vetting process by Greyas Inn management and then be expected to pay an annual fee of $80.
