Entrepreneur invests in musicians

MUSICIAN-turned-entrepreneur, Tinashe Zet, has committed himself to uplift other musicians.

He said his move  was part of his vision to expand his business while employing youthful and disadvantaged artists.

The musician recently started a security company called ‘‘Crime Shield,’’ which is open to employing talented young artists, who are less privileged.

He also has a car sale called ‘‘Tinashe Cars,’’ which he uses to fund some musical projects like riddims and uplifting artists.

Speaking to H-Metro, Zet said his love for supporting artists was motivated by the plight he also faced, as a musician, before turning to entrepreneurship.

“I know there are a lot of challenges as a musician.

“This is the reason I am trying to support the industry because it lessens the burdens which some of our talented artists face.

“I am also giving employment opportunities to talented youths so that they can easily pursue their dream if they are financially stable.

“My security company is also employing artists, who feel they need work, to support themselves,” he said.

Zet is set to launch a new riddim on Thursday, under the name of his recently-opened security company.

The riddim will feature a lot of big names in the Zim dancehall industry such as  Kinnah, Lady Squanda, Poptain, Pumacol,   D-Flex, Jah Master, Hwindi President, Crystal, and others.

He said the riddim was a campaign against crime in society.

“Ironically, though the riddim carries the security company name, it’s also aimed at fighting against crime in the society. We want youths to be responsible citizens and desist from harmful activities like drugs, which can lead them to commit crime,” said Zet.

He has done riddims such as Tinashe Cars Riddim and 1608 Riddim.

He is also behind Cystal’s album tittle Black Wadada.
