ENZO Ishall has revealed what he is currently focussing on – giving more substance to his music than just focusing on producing hit songs.
He says he will not dump his successful formula of releasing singles rather than an album.
The chanter’s camp said Enzo has proven already that he is a powerhouse on the local musical scene.
They believe that the two singles ‘Kanganwa’ and ‘Masahwira,’ which he released this year, have done well.
“The two projects we released this year fared well,” said his management team.
“We feel that we don’t owe Zim a hit song anymore, we have done enough hits and now what we are doing is trying to give substance.
“We are now focusing on making good music and building our catalogue.
“Enzo still has his pull factor and it’s evident in the number of various shows he holds on a weekly basis. He is one of the best artists of his generation.
“He curated a whole sound and culture and any work he has done solidifies his position.”
The team said they have worked with different producers on songs which are yet to be released.
“We have loads of projects which can easily be compiled to make an album but at the moment l feel we should continue milking the singles avenue until such a time we will feed the desired following with a body of work.
“So far, we have a whole lot of unreleased projects that we did with different producers and we might release one song before the year ends.”
