Everything that you desire, it’s not far; just ask

Bishop Dr B. Manjoroe Dunamis
When they say it’s impossible, tell them all things are possible for those who believe, only ask for it and your wish will be granted. 2 Kings 2:9 reads: “And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, ‘Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me’.”

God told Elijah to go and anoint Elisha in his stead; he agreed, went and hit the former with a jacket. Elisha ran after him and said Sir let me go and say goodbye to my family, from that day he followed the prophet.

For years they were together, Elisha saw the last days of Elijah, great miracles being done through the man of God: the army commanders being consumed by fire with their fifties, only to mention a few. After those days Elijah said to Elisha remain here God has sent me to Bethel, Elisha refused, another time Elijah said remain here God has sent me to Jericho, Elisha also refused and say I can’t remain here, I will go with you.

When they were on their way some prophets said to Elisha, “do you know that God is going to take your master today”? And Elisha said, “es I know, hold your peace!”

Finally, they left Jericho and went down to Jordan! Jordan is a place of miracles; it is the place where the Trinity first held its meeting on earth. This is where you find Jesus being baptised, the Holy Ghost coming down in the form of a dove and God the Father addressing the people saying this is my beloved son. It is the place where Elijah and Elisha crossed, the same place where the Israelites crossed when they came from Egypt; it’s a place of miracles.

When the water parted and they crossed, Elijah said “ask what you desire”. Listen! Don’t be like one lady, who after asking the whole church to write what they wanted and God will do it for them, wrote a “paraffin stove”. I called her and asked, “ At home don’t you have electricity?”, she said we have and I asked why she asked God for a smoky stove. At least she could have asked for a hot plate.

Listen, don’t look down upon yourself, do not ask for little things, God does not want to give you the least of it but a greater portion; He wants to lift you than you could ever know.

Do not tell yourself it’s impossible, it’s possible, when they say ’nothing is’ in the Bible, take it literally as nothing. It is written that all things are possible with God, believe it as it is. Listen even if your community used to look down upon you, the anointing is going to lift you up, the anointing is a super natural empowerment that causes you to fulfil your destiny.

This anointing, you may not see it but I know that when it comes upon your life, things will be easier. Even if you run a business, a tuckshop, or anything else, you will make it at the end.

Allow the anointing of the Lord to touch you; it makes things in life a lot easier. Everything that you desire, it’s not far, just ask, the Lord is asking what He can do for you, so tell Him.

Mark 10; 27 “For with God all things are possible”.
