Hebrews 11:1 says that, ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ I get excited when I talk about faith because I live by it and have walked by faith all the days of my life.
I know above all that faith is real and faith works. This is a foundational principle and teaching of the Word of God for anyone to succeed in life.
Everything in the Bible, every promise does not come without fulfilling the law of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6.) Faith is not complicated, you don’t need a bus full of it, you just need faith the size of a mustard seed.
Everyone has faith, (romans 12:3) you just need to know how to use it. Healing, prosperity, salvation of family, flourishing of businesses and all such things as you desire cannot take place without faith. Faith is the hand that we use to receive the desires of our hearts.
If you want to become a good preacher, cast out demons, heal the sick, you have to have faith. if you want to fast for something it has to be backed by faith.
If you just fast without faith you are like a person that asks for a glass of water, water may be brought to them and they simply stare at the person with the glass and not stretch out their hand to receive it, but as long as they don’t stretch their hand to receive what they asked for, they will not be able to have the water. You are there, thirsty, and the water is there but if you don’t stretch out your hand to receive the glass of water you will continue to be thirsty.
So when you pray and fast without faith, your desires are brought to you but as long as your hand of faith is not stretched out, you will not receive.
Now you ask do I need faith to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Of course you need faith to be filled with the holy ghost.
The substance is for things. Substance cannot be seen but it is there. Faith is the substance of things, that means clothes, money, shoes, houses, cars.
If you don’t have shoes Faith is the substance of shoes, if you don’t have a car faith is the substance of cars, if you don’t have a house faith is the substance of houses, if you don’t have a job faith is the substance of jobs.                                       Faith is the SUBSTANCE.
When you have hope, you don’t have faith that is why so many times when we pray asking God for something and don’t receive it we start to say but I believed God.
You were not believing, you were hoping. Hope is not bad. It is the reason we wake up everyday because we are hoping for something good, hoping that my tomorrow will be better than my yesterday. If you have no hope you have no purpose for living.
You don’t need faith if there is no hope. Faith backs up hope just the same way money backs up your needs and wants in a supermarket.
Things hoped for are the desires of your heart, and since faith is the substance of things hoped for, Here is how it works.
Faith is the currency of heaven, when you want something from God faith is what you use.
When you are in a supermarket, you are given an opportunity to state what you want, but if you do not produce the substance for you to be able to purchase what you want, you will not have it. Jesus is like the teller in a supermarket, he will give you your desire if you give him your substance.
When you enter the supermarket, have a list of specific things that you want.
You don’t just ask for everything. If its bread you ask for bread, if its oranges you ask for oranges. Do you know why so many cannot get anything in the supermarket of God? It is because they are not focused and don’t know what they specifically want.
Are you desperate and expecting a miracle from God? Be specific. Know and say exactly what you want.
If it’s a car, know the exact type and make of car you want. If you aim nothing you get nothing. Faith works with specifications. Be specific. Know what you want and say it.
Have faith in Jesus Christ and you will be assured of your blessings, have faith in him, who is your provider and you will not lack. When you hope for your healing, Jesus waits for you to stretch your hand of faith to receive your healing.
Hope is critical for faith to work. If you hope for nothing you will get nothing. When you don’t have hope, you are already dead before you are dead.
People that have no hope for what they need in life, can as well not expect anything for it hope that gives fuel and energy for the future and the anticipation that one day it will be well.
One day I will get that job, one day I will be healed of this TB, one day I will have a happy family, just one day, is the language and meditation of hope. Don’t give up don’t lose hope. It’s the key to your faith and to your miracle.
Hope however as good and important as it is, it is not faith. Hope believes it will happen one day, whilst faith believes NOW, for faith is ‘now’ not yesterday or tomorrow it is now (Hebrews 11:1.)  Faith already has it. It is a possessor.
Faith is the substance of what you need and the proof and evidence to get things done in your life.
