Family voices to hold first concert

The gospel group has a new genre called Housecapella which they want to showcase during their show which starts at 6pm on Saturday.

A member of the group, Ronald Sithole, said the group will use the concert to raise funds to record their album. He said the concert was also designed to popularise the group.

“This is our first concert since the formation of the group in 1999. It is more of an introduction for us to the entertainment industry and we are also trying to raise money for the recording of our gospel album,” said Sithole.

He promised that the group would be at their best, saying fans would have a memorable night.

“We shall sing songs such as Stay With Me that talks about God being with us wherever and whenever we go. We shall sing our trademark tune, Ah! which is a new genre we invented called Housecapella,” said Sithole.

Groups that will support their act are Antivirus and Quiet Rest and the ball juggler Peter Moyo.

Meanwhile, the Clive Chigubu one-man show that was previously reported to be on the same day with the Family Voices concert will actually be held next month.

Producers of the show, Bantu Arts, through one of the producers, Butshilo Nleya, said this yesterday: “The Clive Chigubu show will be held in October, not on 15 September as Clive will be at the Shoko festival.”
