While Macheso will be the major draw- card, Chipfumo will, on the other hand, complement the Orchestra Mberikwazvo frontman with his conscious lyrics.
There is no doubt that combined or joint shows have literally taken over the entertainment landscape as evidenced by the frequency with which promoters are organising them.
This has not only proved to be a worthwhile investment not for the promoters alone but also for music lovers who are increasingly finding the shows enjoyable because of the variety of music genres on offer, which gives them value for money.
The show pitting Macheso and Chipfumo is no exception. Macheso is famous for his fast-paced, throbbing and high-staccato kind of music underlined by his powerful bass guitar whilst Chipfumo has a unique way of lacing his sound with a powerful voice.
Macheso will tonight dish out a catalogue of hit songs like “Tafadzwa”, “Mundikumbuke” and “Mai VaRuby”, and an array of other songs that have made him a household name from the time he ventured into music in the late 1990s.
He has grown both his fan base  at the same time, the same time he has been expanding his discography, earning him accolades as one of the consistent artistes in the entertainment sector.
On the other hand, Chipfumo, who is making a comeback on the stage following a short break, is expected to ignite a revelling mood.
Wielding his hardcore attitude and creativity skills, Chipfumo is undoubtedly one of the best guitarists in the country.
From the time he released his debut album, “Progress Report”, after leaving the Portia Gwanzura-led Hohodza Band, he has continued to rise steadily.
Three other equally good albums followed after “Progress Report”, earning himself a place among some of the country’s renowned musicians.
It was actually his fourth album, “Tsiurika”, which clearly showed that Chipfumo was indeed a talented guitarist and composer, whose lyrics were didactic while at the same time pointing out social ills that continue to haunt the nation.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Glamis Stadium will come to life tomorrow when 10 groups battle for supremacy in the Chibuku Road to Fame.
This year’s finalists are Tanga Pasi, Afro Jazz, Orchestra Sungura, Black Jazz, Facebook Brothers Sungura, Massive Combination Sungura, Terry and The Bliss Afro Jazz, Guruve Marimba Maramba, Fusion, Attacking Super Sounds Sungura and Jungle Tribe Afro Jazz.
Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima will tonight accommodate Peter Moyo and pole dancer Beverly Sibanda popularly known as Bev at Zimunhu Bar in Epworth. Kapfupi, who is in the habit of dishing out comical acts on stage, is expected to give it all on stage as he will be in his backyard.
It remains to be seen how Bev will “seduce” Kapfupi with her dancing routines!
Nicholas Zachariah will be at Huruyadzo in St Mary’s, the musician who is ambassador of Chitungwiza, is expected to play some of his hit songs such as “Mabvi neMagokora”.
Mbira queen Chiwoniso Maraire will serenade The Cave Affair Bar and Restaurant in Domboshava tomorrow..
Emmanuel Manyeruke, better known as Guspy Warrior, will entertain revellers at Mega 1 in Sunningdale with his energetic performance tonight. The dancehall artiste will perform songs from his latest Shona album, “Dancehall Dada.”
