LOCAL airline, fastjet Zimbabwe has said it will introduce an afternoon flight between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg starting this April. The airline connects Victoria Falls to Bulawayo, Harare, Kruger Mpumalanga and Johannesburg as part of ensuring smooth an efficient tourism passenger movement.
“We are delighted to announce the introduction of an additional afternoon flight between our tourism hub of Victoria Falls to Johannesburg, South Africa. This service will commence on the 18th of April growing into a daily service from the 28th of April”, said Mr Nunurai Ndawana, spokesperson of fastjet Zimbabwe speaking in Victoria Falls.
“The afternoon flight will provide tourists with added flexibility in their travel while enjoying the Victoria Falls experience more”.
In demonstrating its status as the homegrown airline of choice, fastjet will launch this service on the 18th of April, which is Zimbabwe’s Independence Day.
This milestone comes against the backdrop of the airline’s celebration of its 10th Anniversary on the 28th of October 2025.
Victoria Falls remains one of Southern Africa’s premier tourism destinations and saw Zimbabwe being voted as the Best Place to visit in 2025 by Forbes Magazine.
Through the fruitful re-engagement efforts by the Second Republic, Zimbabwean tourist resorts have reclaimed their place on the global tourism map.
