Frank Chirisa set to perform in Botswana

AN Award winning comedian from Bulawayo, Frank Chirisa is set to perform in Botswana on 31 January at Triccs’ annual birthday special hosted by Gaborone Comedy Club.

Chirisa expressed his excitement over the invitation and indicated that it is a dream come true.

“This is my second time performing in Botswana and I am excited about the opportunity. This invitation is a stepping stone for me to prepare for other bigger platforms.

“I am nervous, the last time l was there l performed well and am optimistic that l will perform even better this time around,” he said.

Chirisa indicated that he will be performing alongside a number of prominent comedians.

“I am resuming my standup journey after a two-month break and l will be performing alongside comedians like Jonny Pula, Bambino, Triccs and Baldwin Bols,” he said.

He stated that he has a number of cities in the country that he is set to tour in the first quarter of the year.

“I have a number of projects lined up for 2025, on 6 February I will be performing in Victoria Falls and on 8 February l will be heading to Masvingo for another performance.

“My goal for this year is to ensure that l perform at least three times a week to refine the jokes and make sure that l perfect my craft,” he said.
