Freeman drops new video

“I want to make sure I deliver for my fans. This new video was requested by my supporting fans and I have done my best to respond to their wishes hence dropping it for them,” said the 24-year-old chanter.

Freeman, an admirer of Jamaican artiste, like Vibes Kartel, Mavado and Busy Signal stormed into Zimbabwe’s entertainment scene in 2010 with his hit song “Joina City” has never looked back and is going strong.

At the age of 24, Freeman has shared stage with foreign artistes like Jamaican star David Constantine Brooks popularly known as Mavado and Agent Sasco among others. He has performed in UK’s largest cities namely Birmingham and London twice.

If everything goes according to plan, the dancehall doctor will be sharing the stage with seasoned Jamaican reggae artiste Capleton a.k.a. King Shango in December in South Africa.

King Shango will be gracing a South African event dubbed Cape Town International Reggae Fest that is slated for December 8 and 9. This will be Freeman’s fifth time to perform in Cape Town and on the event he will share the stage with fellow Zimbabwean artistes like Bash Mouth and Ras Reggie among some African dancehall artistes from Congo, Ghana and Cameroon.

“I am promising a life time performance just like what I did in UK recently when I left fans asking for more. I want to show what it means to perform on such a platform,” Freeman said.

Freeman has two polished albums, “Tapinda Mustaera” and “Last Man standing” under his belt. He is working on his third album which he said is in its final stages.

“I am currently working on a 12 track album which I want to release as a Christmas present to all dancehall lovers. The album features Winky D on a track titled ‘Munhu wenyama,” said Freeman.
Some of the tracks on the album include, “Vabeliever”, “Handina Godo”, “Hindirandi”, “Nditachire” which features Princo Spice and “Varikunditsvaga” among others.
