LEGENDARY commentator Charles “CNN” Mabika, the most authoritative voice in Zimbabwe football, will be honoured tonight for his services to the country’s number one sporting discipline.
Mabika has been a leading voice of the game for more than three decades, first as a football commentator on radio before he became a television personality on ZTV.
He has also mentored a number of the country’s leading football writers.
He will be honoured by the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe.
Mabika is the second journalist to be given such an award by FUZ.
The first was H-Metro Editor, Robson Sharuko, when the awards were last held in 2019.
Sharuko, who for years has partnered Mabika on the television show “Game Plan” was the first sports journalist to be accorded the honour.
