‘Girlfriend sleeps with husband on my bed’

A Harare Civil Court magistrate Meenal Naratom has granted a woman a peace order after she claimed her husband’s girlfriend sleeps with her husband on their matrimonial bed.

She further claims that they make annoying sounds.

Fortunate Manhiri was seeking for peace order against her husband’s girlfriend Mutsawashe Chipwanya, who allegedly visits her home disturbing her peace.

Fortunate said she is tired of this drama.

“l have my teenage children and l want to protect them from this monster.

“Mutsawashe comes to my home with my husband while drunk and they get intimate on my bed making sounds that my children hear.

“I want her to stay away from my house and she has a child with my husband and l respect that but she has gone too far.

“She also insults me saying that my mother gave birth to a loose girl.

“She also threatened to poison me and she stays at her former husband’s house but she comes to disturb my peace.

“The house is mine and l do not want to talk to her,” she told the court.

Mutsawashe said they are not cohabiting.

“Our husband paid lobola to my family in 2021 and the problem is that my husband’s first wife does not want to accept the reality that she is in a polygamous marriage. We stay at the same house and whenever l have the turn with my husband, she pours water on us while we are naked.

“My husband made it clear that she should go to her father’s home.”
