A Harare man claims he no longer wants to stay with his wife as she is violent and has left him without an ear.
Tinashe Chagonda claimed that his wife injured him and feels no longer comfortable staying with Mako Mushure.
However, his wife made counter accusations at the Harare Civil Court before magistrate Meenal Naratom where she was seeking a protection order against him.
Mako said that her husband threatened to kill their son.
“When drunk my husband threatens to kill me and my child and he is a police officer.
“We stay at Chikurubi Maximum but he chases me away saying that he is tired of me.
“He says that l am a prostitute and he does not take care of his family.
“Tinashe acts like he is possessed,” she said.
Tinashe disputed the claims saying his wife is the one who is violent.
“She beats me because she thinks that l am seeing my first wife again and she did cut my ear, and nose.
“I have no peace and it will be a pleasure if this woman leaves my home then l will pay maintenance.”
Magistrate Naratom granted her the protection.
