Gold ore security guard killed

POLICE in Maphisa, Matabeleland South, are investigating a case of murder which occurred on Monday at Stella City Mine where a 24-year-old was attacked and killed while guarding gold ore.

Bheka Moyo was attacked and killed by six unknown assailants. His body was found with a deep stab wound on the back.

National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Nyathi, confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, police in Beitbridge are investigating a murder case in which Livious Chauke, 17, died after he was struck with a brick on the head before being pushed to the ground by Justice Ndou, 21, following an argument over an undisclosed issue.

The incident occurred at Dite Business Centre on Monday. Ndou is on the run and police have appealed to anyone with leads that may lead to his arrest to come forward.

Meanwhile, police in Harare are appealing for information which may assist in their investigation of a murder in which Felix Chikuku, 22, was found dead with a deep cut on the back of his head on Christmas Day near DA Service Station in Kuwadzana 6.
