THE ability to play in numerous positions is a strength that not so many players can boast of but for the few that have mastered it, the results have been phenomenal for their football careers.
It is common that when a new coach takes over a team he moves players around in a bid to find the most suitable position for each player.
For the better part of his career, Tawanda Nyamandwe of ZPC Kariba was a bustling striker at the power utility team.
Heavily built and possessing a powerful header, Nyamandwe was a vital cog in the ZPC Kariba strike force.
Fast forward to the 2016 season, coach Sunday Chidzambwa has found a new position for the former striker.
Nyamandwe is now tasked with keeping clean sheets for ZPC Kariba, playing as a centre back.
The story of Bruce Kangwa is an intriguing one.
At Railstars, Kangwa was employed as a striker, but found himself playing left back at Highlanders under Kelvin Kaindu and later Bongani Mafu.
Both coaches were fired, and in came Dutch expatriate Erol Akbay at the beginning of 2016.
Akbay did not waste time redeploying the Warriors player back into attack.
With seven goals to his name, after 14 matches Kangwa is undoubtedly enjoying his role as the man tasked with finding goals for the team.
Since the start of the 2016 season, Tsholotsho FC captain William Stima was a defender but later coach Lizwe Sweswe decided to push him into the midfield.
The decision paid off in the 3-0 drubbing of Hwange last Saturday as Stima played a game of his life that afternoon.
