Government committed to empowering citizens with digital skills and knowledge: Minister Tawengwa

THE launch of Digitruck and the Digital Skills Ambassador Programme is vital as it will empower individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape, a top Government official said.
“This is in sync with the dictates of NDS1 – that of promoting effective governance, empowering local communities, and ensuring that the benefits of digital transformation reach every corner of our province,” said the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Senator Charles Tawengwa.
“The Digitruck initiative is a transformative programme that seeks to enhance digital literacy and access to information technology in our communities.”
Minister Tawengwa said by equipping citizens, especially the youth, with these tools, they are fostering personal growth and contributing to the overall development of the country.
