Thousands of members of the Children of Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association from across the country have thronged the Zanu-PF Winnery Convention Centre in Gweru for the launch of the youth empowerment programme.

Special Presidential Investment Advisor, Dr Paul Tungwarara is expected to launch the empowerment scheme.
Minister of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Affairs Monica Mavhunga, Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Tino Machakaire, Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Tatenda Mavetera and the national chairperson of Children of Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association Cde Phenias Makombe and Deputy Secretary for National Security in the ZANU PF Politiburo Cde Tendai Chirau are present for the launch.

The programme follows the landmark move to empower the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs, launched by President Mnangagwa early this year.

The initiative has been hailed as a game-changer for Zimbabwe’s youth is providing financial support, training, and mentorship to young people across the country, enabling them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic growth
