Govt to assist macadamia company

The Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Monitoring and Implementation of Government Programmes Cde Jorum Gumbo says government will assist in addressing challenges being faced by Cicada Katiyo Private Limited in its macadamia nut and avocado farming.

Speaking during a tour of the company’s Katiyo estates in Honde Valley Cde Gumbo said this project is paramount in generating foreign currency and complementing government’s drive towards attaining Vision 2030 of a middle income economy.

Cicada Group development officer, Mr Nicholas Deswardt, said US$10 million has been injected into project to date.
