Grade 3 Drug Scandal ……Mkoba South MP Sounds Alarm on Primary School Substance Abuse

Mkoba South legislator John Kuka has raised alarm over a shocking rise in drug abuse among primary school children in his constituency, with pupils as young as Grade 3 reportedly falling victim.

Speaking to *Southern Eye*, Kuka revealed that during a recent visit to schools in his area, he was stunned to learn about the extent of the problem from one school’s authorities.

“When you hear about drug and substance abuse at such a young age, it’s easy to think it’s a distant issue. But seeing it firsthand is a wake-up call. We need a united effort to tackle this menace,” he said.

Kuka called for intensified awareness campaigns in schools, churches, and other community spaces to combat the influence of unscrupulous drug peddlers targeting children as young as eight. He urged communities to expose these criminals, emphasizing, “Many know who these drug dealers are but choose silence. Report them to the police!” Grade 3 Drug Scandal
