ACTING Harare Mayor, Councillor Stanley Manase Manyenga, officially welcomed the Jehovah’s Witnesses community to Harare at the launch of their convention.
In his speech, Cllr Manyenga expressed his pleasure at Harare hosting the convention, which promises to bring together people from diverse backgrounds for spiritual fellowship and growth.
“On behalf of the City of Harare, I would like to express our warmest greetings and appreciation for the faith and dedication of the Jehovah’s Witnesses community,” he said.Cllr Manyenga highlighted the significance of the convention, which will contribute to the spiritual and moral fabric of the community.
He also emphasised the City of Harare’s commitment to working with the Jehovah’s Witnesses community to ensure the success of the convention.
“We are confident that this event will promote peace, unity, and understanding among all participants,” he said.
The Acting Mayor concluded by wishing the convention participants a successful and spiritually enriching experience, filled with joy, peace, and meaningful connections.
The event marked the official launch of two conventions, expected to bring together over 40,000 people from across the country and abroad.
The conventions aim to promote a message of hope, unity, and spiritual growth.
