A Harare woman who has been diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease is appealing for financial assistance for a kidney transplant surgery in India.

Primrose Mupambachuru (32), an unemployed single mum of one from Mufakose is currently going through a regular dialysis, thrice a week, at a public health facility in Harare where the family is paying US$300 weekly.

The family is however appealing for US$40 000 to cover total cost for her to undergo a kidney transplant surgery at Atermis Hospital in India.

“As a family we are appealing to the people of Zimbabwe and well wishers around the world to kindly assist us in raising this amount of money so that Primrose goes under a life saving surgery in India,” said her mother, Mrs Zorodzai Mupambachuru.

“Since she was diagnosed with this chronic kidney condition in 2023, she has been on a dialysis recommended by physicians costing us an amount of $US $300 every week which we are now failing to raise as a family.”

The family has since initiated a Go Fund Me in an attempt to raise the money.

“As a family we humbly appeal for any help towards Primrose regaining her health.

“This support from the world will also relieve us of the daily financial and psychological stress which we are daily carrying on our shoulders.”

Here are money transfer options for well wishers.
