ZIFA Central Region Soccer League side, Hardrock, are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to make an instant impact in the Division One league.
They have been beefing up their squad with some experienced players.
The Kwekwe outfit have been busy on the transfer market, acquiring the services of several seasoned players as they prepare for the new season.
Hardrock have signed former FC Platinum and Greenfuel striker Donald Ngoma and ex-Highlanders forward Cleopas Dube.
They have also snapped up ageless forward Newman Sianchali, who was with Sheasham last season.
The Kasongo Golden Boys have enlisted the services of ex-ZPC Kariba defender Munyaradzi Diro Nyenye and the goalkeeping duo of Takabva Mawaya and Tafadzwa Jabangwe.
Mawaya was at Hwange while Jabangwe arrived from Chegutu Pirates.
Defenders Rueben Machaya and Rodwell Mhlanga are also arriving from Chegutu Pirates.
Hardrock have turned to former Tongogara coach, Calvin Maphosa – to spearhead their quest for promotion into the PSL.
Club media liaison officer, Garikayi Matava, told the Zimpapers Sports Hub that their immediate assignment is to assemble a competitive side.
“Our transfer strategy is centered around building a balanced team capable of competing in the ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League this season,” he said.
“We have prioritised players not only based on talent but also the right mentality to contribute to our long-term goals.
“We are also integrating younger talent into the squad to ensure sustainable success.”
The Midlands side is owned by businessman Shepherd Chahwanda, who is building a 10,000-seater stadium, in partnership with Prophet Walter Magaya.
