The Ministry of Health and Child Care and its partners will carry out a nationwide polio vaccination programme from February 4 to 7.
The campaign, which is being done in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, will target all children below 10 years of age.
Vaccinations will be conducted at various locations including health facilities, schools and households.
Polio is a dangerous disease that can lead to paralysis or death in children.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), children under five years are at high risk of getting this disease.
