“We are fully prepared for Heroes Day and Defence Forces Day on the 11th and 12th of August,” he said.
“All these days, we really want to celebrate, especially on our Heroes Day, to celebrate in remembering the good works that our fallen heroes did for us and also the good they did for Zim- babwe.”

Cde Tome said on Defence Forces Day, 40 buses would ferry people to and from the National Sports Stadium.
The Zimbabwe Defence Forces soccer team would play against their Namibian counterparts as part of the commemorations, while entertainment will be provided by various artistes including Sulumani Chimbetu, Alick Macheso and Jah Prayzah.
