Highlanders Academy christened a�?Bosso 90a��

HIGHLANDERS Football Club has dedicated theirA� 90th anniversaryA� celebration to their Zifa SouthernA� Region Division one team by renaming itA� a�?Bosso 90a��.

The juniorsa�� team was previously called Highlanders Academy.

Highlandersa�� chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede expressed his concerns about the confusion that might be caused by using Highlanders FC for both age groups.

For instance confusion might arise when one team wins and the other loses.

The name will remain the same for the next decade until the football club turns a century.

a�?We decided to do away with the name Highlanders Academy by calling the Division One outfit Bosso 90. This move is meant to minimize confusion especially from you journalists when writing stories about any of the two teams,a�? said Gumede.

The Division One team had a bad start losing 3-1 to Amagagasi in their first 2016 league game.A� The game was also used to curtain raise for the senior team against FC Platinum.

However, their first win came in a 2 -0 pummeling of the Hwange Under 19 side.

On Saturday Bosso 90A� dates Hwange Under 20. Last week they beat ZRP Bulawayo 2-0 at Barbourfields Stadium. .
