AFRICA is one of the strongest continents in the world. Despite being subjected to a series of colonial acts, it is important for the whole world to know Africans’ origins and their different cultural events. Some of the places where we find big cities and towns were once sacred sites that were used for different purposes and rituals.

Africa is a cradle of humanity. Almost every African country is known for its way of doing things, whether cultural or technological.

As a person from Equatorial Guinea, I found it important to share with my fellow brothers and sisters a little of our culture.

Equatorial Guinea as well as other African countries has a colonial history based on facts. The country is divided into a number of ethnic groups as well as tribes and religions (since it is a polytheist state), but the majority of its population is Christian and believes in the Roman Catholic religion.

Music, literature, and cuisine are also part of the culture of Equatorial Guinea.

The CCEM, the ICEF and CCEG are among the grade stations where cultural activities are carried out every day with the aim of preserving our identity and cultures.

Music and Literature as the mother of many cultures in Equatorial Guinea are characterised by native and African influences of Spanish culture. Each ethnic group contributes differently.

Ethnic groups in the

country include:

The Fangs: This ethnic group is originally from inside the continental Equatorial Guinea. This ethnic group is likewise in Gabon and Cameroon. It is currently the largest ethnic group in Equatorial Guinea and its population has been distributed throughout the country. The fangs are known for their carved sculptures.

The Bubis: Also known as Boobes or Adeejash are an African ethnic group of the Bantu branch, originally from the island of Bioko, formerly Fernando Po Malabo today.

Most of the Bubi population has the Bubi Equatorial Guinea native language and Spanish as a second language.

The Bubi culture is a clear example of the original culture of the Bantu peoples at the beginning of the great migrations into central and southern Africa

The Ndowes: They are an ethnic tribe of Equatorial Guinea, which are differentiated by their language, called “sagging” or “Ngumbi” is spoken by a small part of the population, due to the great migrations of the inhabitants of this country, the cultural variety and the growth of other ethnic groups compared to this one, namely the population fang much higher Ndowe.

The Annobonese: They are an African ethnic group of the island of Annobón in Equatorial Guinea. A town whose main economic dedication fishing and poor agriculture volcanic earth can give.

The Bengas: They are an African ethnic group, including the Bantu group. They are originally from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. Its original language is benga, not far from the Bubi language.
