Zvikomborero Parafini
A HOMELESS man was murdered after he allegedly tried to force a fellow homeless man into a homosexual sexual act, a Harare Court heard over the weekend.
The court heard that on February 28, at around 11pm at Meyrick Park Squatter Camp in Mabelreign, Marvelous Phiri had a misunderstanding with the now deceased Zvikomborero Munhenga, who had tried to sodomise him in his sleep.
Phiri woke up and noticed that his trousers had been lowered to knee level by Munhenga.
Phiri was infuriated and chased the now deceased out of the shanty house.
Phiri picked a horse pipe, measuring approximately one metre, and severely assaulted Munhenga several times all over the body.
Munhenga was found by other residents of the squatter camp having been badly injured.
He revealed that he had been assaulted by Phiri and indicated that he was passing bloody stool.
One resident, Stanford Shirichena, arranged for a taxi and ferried Munhenga to Parirenyatwa Hospital.
Munhenga was admitted in the hospital for several days and succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday.
Phiri appeared in court over the weekend charged with murder.
