A MAN from Midlands Province is on the run after allegedly murdering his wife during a heated argument over an undisclosed issue.
The tragedy happened last Friday at Magodi village in Silobela under Chief Malisa’s jurisdiction, according to Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
“I confirm a man from Silobela had an argument with his wife and assaulted her to death before fleeing. We are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his arrest,” Inspector Mahoko said.
A witness, Willy Sibanda told B-Metro that around 6PM, Edward Moyo and his wife were at their home when a fierce argument erupted. Sibanda said Moyo grabbed a knobkerrie and violently assaulted his wife, beating her until she died.
“When he realised she was dead, he fled, leaving her in a pool of blood,” Sibanda said.
The community remains shocked by the brutal act as police continue the search for Moyo. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police station immediately.
