HIGHLANDERS executive chairman Kenneth Mhlophe is staring down the barrel of a possible ouster after club life member Pilate Mahlangu tabled a Vote of No Confidence motion against him.
Mahlangu, a former office aspirant, confirmed yesterday that he authored the explosive letter — now making waves in Bosso member groups — on Friday before sending it to the club.

The scathing 11-point notice accuses Mhlophe of presiding over a leadership crisis marked by brand damage, leaking of confidential documents, questionable player movements, and a revolving door of CEOs.
He also blasted the chairman for alleged corporate governance failures, rumoured mishandling of coaching appointments, fraud scandals, and the team’s poor performance on the field.
Quoting Highlanders’ constitution, Mahlangu demanded that Mhlophe “show cause” why the motion should not be passed at the next members’ meeting, warning that “the buck stops with you as the head.”

The letter has split opinion in public forums, with some members calling for change while others defend the chairman.

Mhlophe Vote of No Confidence: The 11 Charges

1. Club’s reputation damaged by scandals and ghost writers dragging Highlanders’ name through the mud.

2. Leaks of confidential club documents tarnishing the image.

3. Questionable decisions from the office, including the Legends disclaimer.

4. High turnover of CEOs in a short time — 4 or 5 in quick succession.

5. Cases of alleged fraud and disappearing charge sheets, including a $5,000 scandal involving a former CEO.

6. Suspicious player movements, ghost players, and cash payment controversies (e.g., Mafios Chichewa’s PE Academy/Ajax deal).

7. Failure to establish an audit committee that reports directly to members.

8. Delay in bringing the rumoured new coach due to permit issues, while rivals have no such problems.

9. Being the first club to receive a visit from ZACC under his leadership.

10. Poor team performance with no clear vision for success.

11. Overall leadership failure and vicarious liability for all misdeeds under his watch.
