A BRAWL between a Dangamvura couple ended tragically early this morning when the husband allegedly fatally assaulted his wife while their four children were sleeping in the next room.
Police have since arrested the husband, Brian Mudzimwa, for killing his wife, Winnet Rafemoyo.
Mudzimwa was nabbed in 30 Miles area under Chief Zimunya where he had fled to.
After discovering that he had killed his wife, Mudzimwa rushed to his neighbour intending to buy rat poison to take his own life, but could not do so as he had no cash to make the payment.
He allegedly fled to 30 Miles where he contacted his relatives enquiring about the state of his wife.
Relatives and neighbours who spoke to The Manica Post said the couple had a long history of misunderstandings pertaining to financial issues, but said they were shocked that it led to the death of one of them.
