Fraudsters have created multiple social media pages, falsely claiming to be the popular Zimbabwean traditional healer, Gogo Chihoro.
According to a spokesperson for Gogo Chihoro, impostors have launched fake Facebook and WhatsApp accounts to deceive people and extort money by exploiting her reputation.
“There are several fake social media pages set up by scammers who are misleading people and making money in Gogo Chihoro’s name. There is only one authentic Gogo Chihoro, and her official Facebook page features an elephant as the profile picture. Any other pages displaying her images are fraudulent. Those seeking verification or wishing to contact her should use these phone numbers: +263 714 204 235, +263 781 150 770, and +263 777 934 542,” said the spokesperson.
Meanwhile, Gogo Chihoro continues to receive praise from satisfied clients, especially following her decision to visit Bulawayo every Saturday. Since the beginning of November, her sessions have drawn a growing number of people seeking help for various challenges. Based in Harare, Gogo Chihoro meets clients every Saturday at Woodville Park in Bulawayo.
Gogo Chihoro has gained international recognition for her supernatural abilities, including healing ailments, revitalizing businesses, recovering stolen property, and identifying thieves.
One of her Bulawayo clients shared a chilling discovery:
“I was shocked to find something strange. Every night, we would hear noises from the wardrobe. Today, while packing clothes, I found a plastic bag containing an animal’s skin. My husband had no idea where it came from either. We are grateful to Gogo Chihoro for helping us uncover this mystery.”
Another client recounted a miraculous event:
“Good morning, Gogo. This morning, we sprinkled the herbs you provided. To our astonishment, we found a dead snake inside the dish we use for bathing our sick baby. We have no idea where the snake came from, but the real miracle is that our baby is now completely healed. We are so grateful.”
A widow from Bulawayo also credited Gogo Chihoro for reviving her struggling mining business.
“After my husband passed away, our family mine collapsed. But after consulting Gogo Chihoro and following her instructions, the business is thriving again. We are now making money once more.”
Speaking to B-Metro, Gogo Chihoro explained that many people seek her help in retrieving stolen items, improving businesses, and strengthening marriages.
“As sangomas, our mission is to help build a better society by reducing crime. Unlike others who provide goblins, muthi, and divination tools, I use my abilities to track down thieves and ensure they never steal again. I also remove bad spells, restore businesses, and help people rebuild their lives.”
