TROPHIES, medals and sportswear retail company In-Trun, which is owned by local football icon, Daniel Bingadadi, has chipped in with an assortment of medals, trophies and balls to enable the promising Sicho Masachi Under-11 League to hold their inaugural end of season awards ceremony.
End of season awards ceremonies are an important motivational initiative, not only for budding players, but even senior leagues around the globe.
The league, which was founded and coordinated by legendary Sakubva football juniors’ coach, Timothy Masachi, fondly referred to as Coach Sicho, had only managed to award champions, The Blacks Football Academy with medals and the winners’ trophy last season.
Sporting Athletics ended the season in second position, while La Sakubva settled for third position.
Sakubva Football Academy came fourth.
On fifth position was Destiny Academy, while Tafara City Velloes were in sixth position. Sakubva United Sports Club came seventh. Sheckon Stars and FC Young Stars were in positions eight and nine respectively.
Owing to resource constraints, the Sicho Masachi Under-11 League could not meet expenses for other awards that include league runners-up, third position and individual awards.
Masachi said: “We are now able to award the rest of the awards through Daniel Bingadadi’s trophies and medals assistance. We are really happy that we are now able to award the remaining teams and individual awards because as a league we had only awarded the league champions, The Blacks Academy. They received their winners’ trophy and medals.

“We were still to award trophies and medals to the rest of the participants of the league as well as the individual awards that usually help a lot in motivating the youngsters.
“We really appreciate Bingadadi’s efforts, and plead with other members of the corporate community to assist this initiative which we believe is very, very important in talent development.”
The awards ceremony, whose date will be announced soon, will see the league’s runners-up, Sporting Athletes and third placed, La Sakubva receiving recognition for their efforts.
There will also be individual awards such as the best coach award for Evans Kadzunga of The Blacks Football Academy and the best goalkeeper award for Nice Matonga of Destiny Stars.
The best defender award will go to Tafara “Khedhaz” Chimuramba of La Sakubva, while the best midfielder award recipient will be Ashley “SaMurato” Mukandiri of Tafara City Velloes.
The Sicho Masachi Under-11 League top goal scorer was Romeo Gonye of The Blacks Football Academy after he scored 16 goals in the 2025 season.
The overall the leagues’ best player of the year is Romeo Gonye.
Bingadadi said: “We are happy to be associated with the Sicho Masachi Under-11 League. This is our assistance to the league in a small way that we can. It is meant to help these youngsters pursue their dreams. We did not have to think twice about helping them because we also went through the same path when we grew up playing football, and of course as a marketing gimmick that we hope will give us support in our sportswear shop in Mutare.”
