Injury sidelines Vusa Nyoni

FORMER Highlanders leftback Vusa Nyoni has not been seeing action for his Belgian Second Division side Mons after picking up an injury. The injury has seen him miss three league matches and according to his father, Dumisani a former Highlanders player, Mons’ doctors asked Nyoni to take some rest. “I last spoke to him two weeks ago and he told me that he picked up a knock and was ordered to take a rest,” said Dumisani who was known as Savimbi during his days at Highlanders.

Mons this weekend played to a 1-1 draw against OH Leuven.
Costa Nhamoinesu, whose Czech Republic side Sparta Praha is also in the Uefa Europa League was part of the squad that beat visiting Mlada Boleslav 1-0 while in Denmark former Harare City winger Silas Songani was an unused substitute for the second week in a row as his side Sonderjyske held table toppers Midfjylland to a 1-1 draw.

Sonderjyske remained rooted on eighth position with 14 points while their opponents took their points tally to 28.

Still in Denmark, former Motor Action player Quincy Antipas could not help his side as they fell at home 0-2 to Kobenhavn.
In the Eredivisie League in the Netherlands, Marvellous Nakamba was not part of the Vitesse side that drew 2-2 with visiting Nac Bredn. Vitesse are seventh on the table with 15 points.

The former Highlanders and Bantu Rovers junior has been making some cameo appearances for the Dutch side since moving from France and is part of the Under-23 team to face Morocco on November 15.
