CALL it a romance made in heaven.
That’s what the relationship between philanthropist Mudiwa Hood and sungura musician Paradzai Mesi has become.
The businessman has now bought furniture for Mesi’s new home.
Two weeks ago, Mudiwa paid 12 months’ rent for a four-bedroomed Harare house for Mesi and his family to live in.
On Tuesday, he purchased furniture for the whole house.
Mudiwa said he had taken Bruno Furniture’s donation of a double bed “very personal” and decided to buy all the furniture Mesi needed.
He stated that he used his own money for the furniture and had not used any donations given to Mesi.
“True to my word, after the youngman, Mr Bruno Furniture donated a double bed to our legend Mr Paradzai Mesi, I decided to pay this young man a visit and shock him like I always do,” he said.
“What he did will not wait to be appreciated in heaven.
“We are God’s instruments, and we will appreciate and support your business there and then.
“To be clear, I have not accessed any of the contributions made.
“They are being handled by Mr Mesi and his manager.”
He added:
“The act done by Bruno Furniture honestly moved me and I took it very personal.
“I paid him a visit and personally bought in cash almost everything that Mr Mesi would need for his new house.”
Mudiwa said Mesi’s new home was now fully furnished.
The furniture Mudiwa bought includes a master bedroom double bed and a head board, a wardrobe for the master bedroom and a double bed for the kids’ bedroom.
He also bought a kitchen unit, kitchen table, chairs, sofas for the lounge and a coffee table.
“Kwasara muridzi wacho apinde. I take pride in changing lives and impacting other people positively. “Jesus loved me and blessed me to be a blessing to others.
“Zimbabwe, let us continue rallying behind those that need us.
“I challenge all businessmen and women in Zimbabwe to help those in need.
“We also need to create employment for the ever-growing population of graduates. If not us, then who will do it for our country?”
