GOSPEL musicians Blessing Shumba and Trymore Bande are expected to raise the tempo when they perform at the annual AFM Conference in Mutare.
The conference, dubbed: ‘‘The wind and fire conference 2014’’, rolls into life on Monday at the church’s Bethel Assembly, Chikanga Three Citadel.
Dangamvura-based Admire Ngorima and Sakubva-bred James Gondo as well as Itai Bvumbura will also perform during the conference.
Overseer Benson Katakwa confirmed the developments.
“We will have a number of local gospel musicians to help praise the Lord during the conference. Blessing Shumba and Trymore Bande are some of the musicians that we have engaged to perform at the conference and we are confident that they will be with us.
“We are also going to have upcoming gospel artistes such as Admire Ngorima, Itai Bvumbura and James Gondo. This is the time to praise the Lord and we are all aware of the need to sing and dance for our Lord,” he said.
Overseer Katakwa added that powerful speakers were also lined up for the event.
“As usual when we host such a conference, we have a number of powerful speakers who will take turns to deliver the spiritually afflicted. For example, we will have Evangelist Mashezha, Pastor Chihoro and Apostole Chabata among others.
“We sincerely hope that in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ burdens, sickness, poverty and oppression will be removed from the shoulders of those who believe in his name during this blessed week,” he added.
From Monday until Saturday, the programme starts at 6pm to 8pm before culminating into next Sunday’s normal church programme that starts at 10am to 1pm.
