JOHANE Masowe yeChishanu Jerusarema worshippers have hailed Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Tino Machakaire for his devotion to work and help the needy.
Minister Machakaire donated tonnes of rice worth thousands of dollars to Johane Masowe yeChishanu Jerusarema shrine in Guruve on Friday.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Min Machakaire said he was touched by the plight of the church members who faced many challenges, among them food shortages.
He also expressed his gratitude towards the church members for their pivotal role in transforming youths into semi-skilled and disciplined people.
“I feel humbled to be around people of Johanne Masowe yeChishanu Jerusarema as I always feel at home when I am around them and to witness the great works being done by the church.
“What we want is to see Zimbabwe’s economy growing despite the drought.
“The Ministry is grateful with how the church has transformed raw youths into semi-skilled and responsible citizens with virtues of discipline, patriotism and volunteerism,” he said.
One of the church members said:
“The Minister has done well for us the people of Johane Masowe and we are grateful for that.
“We pray that God continues to bless him in whatever he does.”
