FILABUSI-based Jordan FC continued their impressive run of form after edging Bulawayo City 1-0 in a Southern Region Soccer League Matchday 12 encounter at Mthwakazi on Saturday.

The hard-fought victory came just days after Jordan secured passage to the next round of the Zifa Munhumutapa Challenge Cup, where they eliminated Nkayi United by the same 1-0 scoreline. Before that, they had also knocked out fellow Matabeleland South side Talen Vision, underlining their growing reputation as one of the region’s most difficult teams to beat.

Against Bulawayo City, Jordan once again showed resilience and defensive discipline, grinding out a crucial three points to maintain momentum in their league campaign. The victory will further boost confidence within the camp as they balance commitments in both the league and cup competitions.

Jordan’s latest triumph came on a busy day in the Southern Region Soccer League. Victoria Falls Herentals strengthened their position with a 3-1 victory over Aqua Stars at Chinotimba Stadium, while Megawatt cruised to a 3-0 win against Njube Spurs at Chakona.

At White City Stadium, Bosso90 and Zimbabwe Saints shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw, while Talen Vision registered a valuable 2-1 victory over Zebra Revolution.

For Jordan FC, however, the focus remains firmly on sustaining their remarkable run. Consecutive victories in the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup and another important league win have turned the Filabusi outfit into one of the teams to watch in the Southern Region.

With confidence soaring and results continuing to go their way, Jordan FC’s supporters will be dreaming of an extended cup adventure and a strong push up the league table as the season gathers momentum.-@FungaiMuderere
