THE Government through the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) has granted the resumption of 24 sporting codes after a lengthy Covid-19 lockdown lay off.
The less risky sporting codes that have been granted the greenlight to resume include cricket, cycling, lawn and table tennis, swimming, athletics, golf and chess among others.
“The Sports and Recreation Commission will monitor all sports facilities and centres for compliance.
Violations of health protocols and other stated conditions will result in the summary suspension of
the relevant sport code and the prosecution of the offending persons or responsible officials,” reads part of the SRC notice for low risk sport approval for resumption.
