THREE armed robbers were arrested after their gate-away vehicle broke down near Ntabazinduna Tollgate while two other accomplices are still at large.
In their twitter page police said the suspects, who were armed with machetes, knives and iron bars, attacked two women and stole property worth US$4 4 80 from a home in Fort Rixon.
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of Stephan Kelvin (29), Mapfumo Kudakwashe (27) and Mashangeni Antony (40) in connection with a case of armed robbery which occurred at Village 5B Heany Junction, Fort Rixon on 05 August.
“The suspects together with two others still on the run stormed a home armed with knives, iron bars and machetes before attacking two women. They stole property valued at US$4 480 which they loaded in a Nissan Caravan vehicle. The vehicle later developed a fault near Ntabazinduna Tollgate, Bulawayo leading to their arrest,” said the police.
