The Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (Zimsec) is expected to release the Grade Seven results this week to allow  pupils to apply for the form one places.

Government launched an online application platform for Form one boarding places for pupils wishing to be enrolled into boarding schools this year, albeit still waiting for results.

The online platform opened in December last year and ended on Sunday.

Under the new system pupils were applying through the Electronic Ministry’s Application Platform (EMAP) where an applicant was allowed to place three applications at each given time although there is room for the upward review of the number of applications accepted until the closing date.

The selection will commence soon after the publication of the Grade 7 Zimsec results for 2020 examinations.

Zimsec public relations manager Ms Nicky Dhlamini said the Grade Seven results are expected to be released this week.

“The Grade Seven results are expected to be released before the end of this week. This will enable the pupils to apply for the form one places. The pupils will be able to apply for the places using the results through the electronic platform launched by Government,” she said.
