Justice and Legal Affairs permanent secretary Mr David Mangota, Deputy Chief Justice Luke Malaba, Deputy Attorney General (Criminal Division) Mrs Florence Ziyambi,
High Court and Supreme Court judges, lawyers in private practice, former Anti-Corruption Minister Cde Paul Munyaradzi Mangwana and chief magistrate Mr Mishrod Guvamombe attended the burial.
Deputy Chief Justice Malaba said the nation had lost an intelligent, hardworking and humble judge. He described him as a kind, soft and approachable person who was good at delivering well-reasoned judgments.

Justice Karwi demonstrated his ability to deliver justice. When you read through his judgments in the Zimbabwe Law Reports, you will see a man who is able to understand the problems that befall fellow men in life. He understood what it is to be a human being. Through his judgments you would notice that he had a history and a back ground with people.”
He said the Karwi family should take solace in the brilliant legacy left behind by the late judge.
Speaking at the same occasion, a brother-in-law to the late judge warned the Karwi family against violating his sister (Mrs Karwi’s) property rights.
“A marriage is more of a property contract. I will do whatever it takes to protect my sister. I will not hesitate to utilise all the legal resources to defend my sister if anyone tries to violate her property rights,” he said.
