KELVIN Kaindu is not under pressure despite his team’s recent stunning loss of form and believes club’s disgruntled fans will get behind the team in today’s Castle Lager Premiership tie against Harare City at Rufaro
The Lowveld side crashed to their heaviest defeat since gaining promotion in 2013 when they lost 0-5 to Harare City in the Chibuku Super Cup last Saturday.
Triangle have failed to collect maximum points in five consecutive league fixtures and the Zambian gaffer believes his side have got what it takes to bounce back.
“Despite injuries to regular players Nelson Meson, goalkeeper Ashley Reyners and Brian Juwayeyi, we still hope to pick ourselves up and bounce back against Harare City,” said Kaindu.
“We know exactly how our supporters are feeling and we need their support and together we can make it, it shall be well.”
After avoiding relegation on the last day for two seasons, Triangle looked like a rejuvenated side following the appointment of the former Highlanders boss to head the technical department.
Many soccer pundits even tipped Triangle as favourites to win the league championship race this season.
But the Sugar Sugar boys have lost their way in recent weeks and lie in fourth place with seven games to play.
Triangle have been boosted by the return of the Zimbabwe under-23 duo of midfield anchor Tichaona Chipunza and Marlvin Gaki from the Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.
“We welcome back the Under-23 players and hope they will help the team, we also have young Derwin Phiri who is doing well and we all hope for the best,” said Kaindu.
